I recommend you to stay there at least three full days. If you have more time, you can consider the idea to visit the beautiful castles near the city, such as Frederiksborg (wonderful!) or perhaps going to Malmo (a small but so nice city in Sweden- almost 15 minutes by train from Copenhagen). The City Pass Small will provide cheap travel throughout your stay. I think about £20 for 3 days for unlimited use of public transport in the city. It will cover trips from the airport and city and back.
