Congratulating the diplomat on the appointment to the post, R. Kocharian expressed his satisfaction with the level of the Armenian-American relationships and pace of their development. During the conversation the parties touched upon the issues of bilateral economic cooperation and the partnership within the frames of Millennium Challenge Account. Strictly condemning the terrorist act in Northern Osetia the interlocutors underscored that the security problems take on special significance under the conditions of contemporary challenges. In the course of the meeting, Karabakh conflict settlement and regional security issues were discussed as well. In this view Ambassador Evans noted that the US is interested in stability and security in the South Caucasus.
