MAMMADYAROV: «YEREVAN ASKED FOR TIME TO THINK OVER AZERI POSITION»

PanARMENIAN.Net - After the Kazan meeting of the Azeri and Armenian Presidents official Yerevan has taken a time-out in the talks over peaceful settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, stated Azeri FM Elmar Mammadyarov, reported Trend Azeri agency. In his words, the parties will continue talks within the framework of the so-called Prague process. «The Azeri party has presented its position at the latest talks, however the Armenian party asked for time to think it over. After that the parties will arrive at a decision over the way of continuation of the talks,» the Minister noted. In his words, «There are proposals to hold the recurrent meeting of the FMs or for the OSCE MG Co-Chairs to visit the region.» The Azeri FM stated, «There is no precise information on the direction the recurrent move will be taken in,» Mammadyarov said, noting the discussion of the matter continues.
