RA Armed Forces to participate in CIS armies' Sports Contest in St. Petersburg

PanARMENIAN.Net - On July 25-30, St. Petersburg will be hosting the 7th Sports Contest of the CIS armies. The event is dedicated to the 65th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, Rosbalt reported with reference to information department of Leningrad military command.

The event is organized as per decision of the Council of CIS Defense Ministers. The Sports Contest will bring together around 300 representatives of armed forces of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine and Tajikistan.

Participants will compete in freestyle wrestling, shooting, kettlebell lifting, mini football, all-round events and swimming. Besides, a sitting of the CIS Sports Committee will be held at the Military Institute of Physical Culture.
