100 EMIGRANTS FROM ARMENIA GOT REFUGEE STATUS IN MOSCOW AND PODMOSKOVIE DURING RECENT 10 YEARS

PanARMENIAN.Net - 100 emigrants from Armenia received the refugee status in Moscow and Podmoskovie during the recent 10 years, as reported by the Russian media according to the data provided by the Federal Migration Service of Russia. According to the source, during the same period totally 1956 people got the refugee status at the territory mentioned, 216 of them being from Azerbaijan, 319 - from Georgia, 323- from Kazakhstan and 192 - from Afghanistan. However it is extremely difficult to fix the real number of the refugees, for the procedure of receiving the status is double-stage. The person wishing to get the refugee status is first of all registered and granted the status only a year later. At the same time, due to data of the Migration Service, the number of people illegally residing in Russia is over half a million.
