ARMENIAN PEACEKEEPERS DISPLAYED HIGH PROFESSIONALISM IN KOSOVO
There were no casualties among the international peacekeeping contingent during the latest collisions between Serbian and Albanian population of Kosovo, which resulted in victims. It should be reminded that a group of Armenian servicemen is part of the Greek peacekeeping battalion in Kosovo. Yesterday and today the brigade, which includes Armenian peacekeepers, undertook resolute measures to prevent Serbian-Albanian clashes, spokesperson of East peacekeeping brigade Major Kol told Liberty radio station today. When asked how Armenian servicemen showed their worth, Kol noted he would not like to distinguish representatives of any nationality, adding the multinational brigade fulfilled their task perfectly. "They acted at a high professional level to prevent very serious clashes," the Major said.
