Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement and reconciliation between Armenian and Azerbaijani people is not easy, EU Commissioner for Enlargement and Neighborhood Policy said.
“Dialogue between both parliaments may help overcome this sore issue. In this context, let me stress the importance of ensuring that all opportunities are used to establish and strengthen contacts across boundaries and within the region as whole. For instance, culture that per definition has no boundaries provides such an opportunity,” Stefan Fule said during a plenary session of Euronest Parliamentary Assembly in Baku.
The second session of Euronest Parliamentary Assembly kicked off on April 2. Meetings of standing committees, working group on Belarus and a plenary sitting were held during the session, which brought together 60-member EU delegation, national delegations of Ukraine, Georgia, Moldova and Armenia.
Euronest inter-parliamentary union includes Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.
The next session is scheduled for May 28-29, 2013 in Brussels.
