Armenia and Azerbaijan are working out new approaches to settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, Azeri Foreign Minister Elmar Mamedyarov said in an interview with Liberty radio station, Arminfo agency reported. In his words, the new plan being worked out by Yerevan and Baku includes elements of previous approaches of each party. Having reminded that Azerbaijan is for the stepwise option of the conflict settlement, while Armenia is for the package one, Mamedyarov noted from these two positions the sides are trying to chose ideas acceptable for both parties. In his words, it is done to form a common portfolio for further talks. At the same time the Azeri Foreign Minister noted that before starting the negotiations on the status of Nagorno Karabakh, official Baku demands "on withdrawal of Armenian troops from Azeri territories" should be met.
