RUSSIAN RAILWAY READY TO PARTICIPATE IN PRIVATIZATION OF GEORGIAN RAILWAY
Russian Railway (RR) company is ready to participate in the privatization of the Georgian railway, First Vice-President of the RR Vladimir Yakunin told Novosti Russian news agency at an international economic forum in Saint Petersburg today. In his opinion, to solve the problems available in the sphere one has to "take the way of privatization." At the same time Yakunin noted that the question cannot be solved without the political will of the Georgian and Abkhazian leadership. The RR First Vice-President reminded that electric trains go from Abkhazia to Russia now, however rail communication with Georgia is not available. "By restoring rail communication traffic to Armenia will be opened and economic relations will be built in the region in a different manner," Yakunin said.
