Political expert Alexander Iskandaryan believes ARF Dashnaktsutyun (ARFD) to be an ideological party, in contrast to other ones.

“With ARFD, the ideology is party-related rather than linked to separate political figures. Dashnaktsutyun is the only real party in Armenia,” Iskandaryan told a news conference.

The expert, however, noted poor parliamentary campaign of the party, which worked to retain the voters it already had, instead of striving to increase their number through more aggressive rhetoric.

In conclusion, the expert said he doesn’t see ARFD as a part of ruling coalition; however, he noted ARFD often becomes unpredictable after the elections.
