Proceeding from the interests of the national security of the country, Armenia should head for multi-layer and multipolar relationships, Adviser to the Armenian President on the National Security Issues Garnik Isagulian stated today. In his words, it is necessary to preserve normal relations both with neighbor states and with Russia, US, EU and NATO. The President's Adviser also reported that the process of formation of the National Security Institute is in an active phase at present. When touching upon the item on "the seized Azeri territories" included by Baku's initiative in the agenda of the 59-th session of the UN General Assembly, G. Isagulian noted that the document independently of the decision contents "may receive a counter-reply on the situation in Shahumian and Getashen, where Armenians had been residing. Now, however, demographic changes are available as no Armenian can be found there".
