RAILWAY COMMUNICATION BETWEEN RUSSIA AND ARMENIA CAN BE RESTORED IN YEAR
The real term for the restoration of railway communication from Russia to Georgia and then to Yerevan is one year, head of the Russian Federal Department of Railway Transport Mikhail Akulov stated. In his words, the political constituent of the issue was settled during the visit of Russian Minister of Transport Igor Levitin to the South Caucasian states. A trilateral working group for the restoration of the railway communication via Abkhazia will be formed in the near future. The major technical problem, according to Akulov, is the unsatisfactory condition of the sector between Sukhumi and Samtredia.
