According to the outcomes of the social investigation conducted by the South Caucasian Resource Research Center, in the opinion of Yerevan residents the possibility of developing relationships between Armenia and Azerbaijan is becoming more obvious while the residents of Baku are absolutely against it. Social investigations were conducted to clarify the changes, which occurred in the public consciousness during the post-soviet period. 1500 forms were filled in each capital.
The residents of all the three capital cities highlight relations with Russia. Yerevanians outline the European Union as the foreign policy partner. The residents of Tbilisi are US-oriented, residents of Baku prefer Turkey. To note, only 1/3 of the surveyed in Baku are interested in politics, in Yerevan the figure exceeded the half. In Tbilisi and Baku the people trust the President while Armenians rely on the army and Church.
