Armenian consumer prices up 3,4% in October

3,4% inflation rate was recorded in Armenia's consumer market in October compared to the same period in 2011, head of Price Statistics and International Comparisons Division of RA National Statistical Service said.

As Gurgen Martirosyan noted, prices for foodstuff (including alcoholic beverages and cigarettes) increased by 3,5%, non-foods’ prices rose by 5,7%, with 2,3% growth in tariffs for services posted.

Consumer prices increased by 1,2% in October compared to September in all Armenian cities under study, with the highest index registered in Dilijan.

“1,3 % growth was recorded in consumer prices in Yerevan,” Mr. Martirosyan said.
