Azerbaijani Minister of Youth and Sports Azad Rahimov said the ministry regularly contacts Azeri athletes, who are currently in Armenia for participation in 2012 AIBA Youth World Boxing Championships.

"Security of our athletes is ensured at highest level. We hope they will return with awards, especially a gold medal. We want Azerbaijan’s national anthem to be played in Yerevan,” azerisport.com quoted Rahimov as saying.

Tural Ahmadov (52 kg), Nasraddin Mammadov (56 kg), Parviz Bagirov (64 kg), Sagi Salahli (69 kg), Orhan Mailly (75 kg), Rauf Rahimov (81 kg) and Rahil Mammadli will represent Azerbaijan at the championships.
