Director David Fincher (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) is in talks to helm the adaptation of Gillian Flynn’s novel Gone Girl.
The book centers on a man whose wife disappears on their fifth wedding anniversary, only to have all roads point to him as the woman’s killer. Author Flynn is also handling the screenplay adaptation.
Word on Fincher’s talks to direct Gone Girl comes via Variety, though there is currently no offer on the table, Collider said.
