Armenian, Syrian, Greek students protest against Erdogan in Budapest

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan arrived for an official visit to Budapest on Tuesday, February 6.

Erdogan was sheduled to deliver a lecture on Democracy in Turkey at ELTE Universtity, with Armenian, Greek and Syrian students refused attendance, as absence of free places was cited.

“Clearly, this was another demonstration of Turkish democracy in action,” a Budapest-based activist Alex Avanesyan told PanARMENIAN.Net.

Throughout Erdogan's lecture, Syrian, Armenian and Greek students protested outside the university, calling Erdogan a terrorist, demanding to recognize the Armenian Genocide and put an end to attacks on innocent people in Turkey.
