Former foreign minister of Armenia Vartan Oskanian will top Prosperous Armenia party’s list during Yerevan City Council elections, the party’s parliamentary group secretary Naira Zohrabyan said.

She further voiced the party’s readiness to continue discussions with other parties to form political consolidation.

It’s noteworthy that Prosperous Armenia took the decision on running in the elections with a separate list at March 9 political council meeting. The ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), Orinats Yerkir and Prosperous Armenia have so far announced a decision to run in the polls, with Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan to top RPA’s list.

Yerevan City Council elections are due May 5.
