Armenian grandmaster Levon Aronian lost to Israel’s Boris Gelfand in the 9th round of Candidates Tournament, ongoing in London.

Aronian currently comes 2nd with 5.5 points. Norway’s Magnus Carlsen leads the tournament, with Russia’s Vladimir Kramnik 3rd with 5 points.

The 10th round board pairings have been announced as follows: Carlsen vs Gelfand, Aronian vs Vassily Ivanchuk, Teimour Radjabov vs Peter Svidler, Alexander Grischuk vs Kramnik.
