Complementary foreign policy favors Armenia’s interests, chairman of the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations of the National Assembly said.
“Armenia always pursued a multi-vector foreign policy,” Artak Zakaryan told a press conference, conditioning this by the need to ensure Armenia’s security.
The MP further noted that Armenia faces a number of delicate problems, with several regional factors such as Turkey’s involvement in the events of the Middle East, as well as the oncoming elections in Georgia and Azerbaijan to affect the situation.
“As for Armenia, its peacekeeping role and active participation in international processes may win the respect of the international community,” Mr. Zakaryan said.
