Today the sortition of the Euro-2008 soccer selection tournament was held in the Swiss town of Montreux. The national teams of Austria and Switzerland as the hosts of the tournament automatically got the pass to the selection finals. The composition of the groups was determined by sortition. The Armenian national team was included into Group A.

The selection tour will start in autumn 2006 after the finals of the world championship in Germany.
