RA NA Vice Speaker Doesn't Expect Much of Kocharian-Aliyev Meeting
Armenian parliament vice speaker Vahan Hovhannisian does not expect much of the upcoming meeting of the Armenian and Azerbaijani Presidents in Rambouillet. In a conversation with PanARMENIAN.Net reporter he said "the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement talks have not reached a stage when precise items may be discussed." At the same time he noted that the frequent visits of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-chairs, the meetings of the Foreign Ministers and Presidents can help to find a solution that will satisfy all of the three parties to conflict - Armenia, NKR and Azerbaijan. As for the "return" of territories controlled by the NKR Defense Army, the RA NA vice speaker said this is the issue of tactics and strategy. "The seven regions forming the security belt of Karabakh cannot be given for no particular reason, against some guarantees," Vahan Hovhannisian stated.
