Kurds searching for Armenian gold in Turkey's Mus

Reconstruction plan for the central part of the Turkish city of Mus hasn't been completed, yet the city residents, mainly Kurds, are already demolishing Armenian houses in hopes of fining gold they claim was hidden back in 1915.

According to Ermenihaber, 300 out of 2000 houses in the city center are in disrepair, so those demolishing the homes did not wait to get permission. Before 1915, the Mus center was mainly inhabited by Armenians, with Kurds currently living in their dilapidated houses.

However, according to the city Mayor, no gold was found despite all the efforts to do so.
