COMMODITY CIRCULATION BETWEEN ARMENIA AND RUSSIA INCREASED LAST YEAR
The commodity circulation between Russia and Armenia has made $128.4 million during the 11 months of the year 2002, which is 14.5% more in comparison to the same period of 2001. As reported by the press service of the ministry of economy and transport of the Russian Federation, the Russian export to Armenia within January-November 2002 increased 14.5% making $75.7 million. This includes the increase of the export of machinery, equipment and transportation means, medicines and confectionery. The import to Russia within the period of account made $52.7 million and increased 14.5%. The share of strong alcoholic beverages, machinery, equipment and carriers has increased in the import. The trade balance within the 11 months of 2002 has made $23 million.
