Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian attended the meeting of the foreign ministers of the EU and Eastern Partnership countries in Brussels Monday, July 22.
The meeting focused on preparations for the Vilnius-hosted Eastern Partnership Summit, with the parties exchanging views on the progress in talks in Eastern Partnership framework.
As the Armenian official stated at the meeting, two years after the Warsaw summit significant progress was achieved in all the sectors of cooperation. He also stressed the importance of cooperation in Eastern Partnership framework in terms of promotion of reforms. As he noted, recent reports on Armenia showed progress in the sectors of democracy, human rights defense, rule of law.
As he further noted, on September 12-13, Yerevan will host an informal meeting of the Eastern Partnership foreign ministers along with a high-level meeting on education.
