Zach Bogosian signs new 7-year contract with Winnipeg Jets

Defenseman Zach Bogosian was signed Monday, July 29, to a new, seven-year contract worth $36-million Winnipeg Jets, according to globalnews.ca.

Bogosian was originally selected by the Atlanta Thrashers third overall in the 2008 NHL Draft. Last season, the 23-year-old played in 33 games with the Jets, scoring 14 points (5 goals and 9 assists) in 33 games.

The Massena, NY native has played in 297 career NHL games between Atlanta and Winnipeg, registering 103 points (34G, 69A) and 237 penalty minutes.
