$180 Armenian tablets to be made in free economic zone

The government of Armenia ruled to provide Technology and Science Dynamics Inc/Armtab Technologies Company a space in the free economic zone for a 3-year period.

The Armenian-American joint venture will be engaged in assembling tablets and installing programs. The $180 tablets will be based on Chinese and Hong Kong-made hardware.

The products will be exported to the EU, CIS and U.S., with the first-year investment of $1,350 million to be increased to $6,750 million in the third year. Eventually, every stage of the tablets production will be moved to Armenia.
