Roadmap for Armenia’s Eurasian integration discussed in Moscow

Moscow will host a Supreme Eurasian Economic Council (SEEC) sitting December 24, with Presidents of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan to discuss main directions of international interaction between the members of the Customs Union and Common Economic Space, as well as formation of Eurasian Economic Union, according to RBC.

The discussion will also focus on preparation and implementation of roadmaps envisaging Armenia and Kirgizstan’s joining the Eurasian integrational structures, with the countries to participate in the SEEC sitting.

The Prime Minister of Ukraine will be attending the event in the capacity of an observer.

A number of joint resolutions on common customs policies, regulation of natural monopolies and rules of competitiveness will be signed, to be followed by Russian President Vladimir Putin’s talks with SEEC leaders.

Talks on joint operation of Baikonur Cosmodrome, inking of a number of documents on oil transit to China through Kazakhstan, cooperation in cosmic, military and technical sectors are on the agenda of Putin-Nazarbayev talks.

Putin and Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko will meet December 25.

Armenian leader Serzh Sargsyan left for Moscow to participate in the December 24 SEEC sitting, presidential press service said.
