May 5 Proclaimed Mourning Day in Russia
During a telephone conversation Armenian and Russian Presidents Robert Kocharian and Vladimir Putin discussed the process of rescue works carried out at the site of the A-320 Armavia-owned plane crash. As Armenian leader's Spokesman Victor Soghomonyan told PanARMENIAN.Net reporter, the President made a decision to declare May 5 the mourning day in both states.

"Vladimir Putin told the Armenian President about the works carried out at the site. Russian rescuers are working already, the first group of the Armenian rescuers arrived in Sochi," Victor Soghomonyan said. He also informed that Serge Sargsyan, the Secretary of the Security Council at the RA President is also departing for Sochi.

For it's part, the Kremlin's press office reported that "Robert Kocharian thanked Vladimir Putin for the phone call and detailed information. The President of both states said it's a common tragedy of the Russian and Armenian people".
