Samsung will allegedly unveil a premium model of the Galaxy S5 next month.
Reports from the firm's native South Korean suggest that a metal-clad handset dubbed the Galaxy Alpha will debut in August, Digital Spy reveals citing G4Games.
Galaxy Alpha is thought to be a codename for the same device that has previously leaked under the moniker of the Galaxy S5 Prime and the Galaxy F.
An August unveiling would see the premium Galaxy S5 arrive on the market at least a month ahead of the iPhone 6, with its release throught to be an attempt to steal Apple's thunder.
Previous reports claim that the device features a 5.1-inch, 2K display with a 2560x1440-pixel resolution and 3GB of RAM, as well as a 2.5Ghz Snapdragon 805 quad-core processor.
Other rumoured specs include an Adreno 420 graphics card, a 16-megapixel rear camera, a 2-megapixel front-facing snapper, 32GB storage and Android 4.4.2 KitKat.
