Al Pacino as struggling actor in “The Humbling” dramedy trailer

Al Pacino plays a once-beloved actor with a very healthy libido in the first trailer for The Humbling, The Hollywood Reporter said.

The dramedy stars Pacino as Simon Axler, a stage legend whose career highlights are long behind him. As he struggles to land his next gig, he turns heads by dating his friend's much younger daughter (Greta Gerwig), whom Simon refers to as a "flirtatious lesbian."

Charles Grodin, Dianne Wiest, Kyra Sedgwick and Mandy Patinkin co-star. Barry Levinson (Rain Man) directed from a script by Buck Henry and Michal Zebede. The film is based on the 2009 Philip Roth novel of the same name.

The film debuted at this year's Venice Film Festival and will screen at the Toronto Film Festival later this month.
