Compulsory Enforcement Service conference in Armenia

Judicial Acts Compulsory Enforcement Service of Armenia (JACES) hosted the 2nd international scientific-practical conference in a spa town of Tsakhkadzor.

The results of the conference titled “Traditional and Innovative Solutions to the Problems with Compulsory Enforcement Proceedings” were summarized by Chief Compulsory Enforcement Officer Mihran Poghosyan who thanked the guests for their active participation in the event.

He further welcomed the discussion of sensitive aspects of the compulsory enforcement including use of information technologies and balance between observation of human rights and effective work of the service. The official expressed confidence that the issues discussed will promote development of enforcement proceedings on national as well as international levels.

The conference, held October 13-14, hosted delegations of the International Union of Judicial Officers and corresponding services of 18 countries, including Armenia, Artsakh, the Netherlands, Sweden, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, France, Belgium, Georgia, Moldova, Greece, the Czech Republic, Serbia, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Slovakia. President Serzh Sargsyan issued an address to the participants of the event, with parliament speaker Galust Sahakyan opening the conference with a speech.

On October 13, the conference participants visited Tsitsernakaberd memorial to Genocide victims as well as the Genocide Museum. The guests were later taken on a tour of a carpet factory and familiarized with the traditions of Armenian carpet-making. The conference participants were presented with memorial gifts on behalf of the Compulsory Enforcement Service.
