ARMENIAN MEMBERSHIP IN WTO TO INCREASE CREDIT OF FOREIGN INVESTORS
By joining the World Trade Organization Armenia automatically gets most favorable trade regime with the organization member countries, which cover up to 97% of world commodity turnover. Minister of trade and economic development of Armenia Karen Chshmaritian told journalists about it when commenting issues concerning Armenia's accession to the WTO. At the same time, in his words, the credit of foreign investors to Armenia as a WTO member will increase. For example, the minister reported, already at the turn of November, when the drafts of documents on Armenia's accession to the WTO were approved, a number of transnational corporations, including "Coca-Cola" and "General Motors," started showing interest to the investment potential of the republic's economy.
