Johnny Greenwood's version of Radiohead's “Spooks” lands online

A new version of Radiohead's 'Spooks', rearranged by Johnny Greenwood and featuring members of Supergrass and a spoken word part by Joanna Newsom, has appeared online, Gigwise reports.

Taken from the soundtrack to Inherent Vice, the much-debated track has now surfaced online. It was roadtested by Radiohead back in 2006 along with other material that made it on to In Rainbows, but has since remained unrecorded until now - with Joanna Newsom and with the instrumental performed by friends and fellow Oxford folk, Gaz Coombes and DanNy Goffey of Supergrass.

Instead of the James Bond-esque rush of the original, the track is now drenched in a cinematic sense of lounge music darkness.
