Armenia is planning to use direct air communication between China and Sochi to organize the import of Chinese production, the Russian city mayor Andrey Pakhomov said.

“Representatives from Armenia addressed us immediately after hearing the news of the air communication, which, we’re confident, will positively affect the business activity of Sochi and other cities in southern Russia as well,” Yuga quoted the mayor as saying.

Trade relations between Armenia and China are dynamically developing, with Beijing among the most important trade partners of Yerevan. According to the National Statistical Service, in 2013, Armenia's exports to China amounted to $68.8 million while imports totaled $187.3million against $1.8 million and $169.4million respectively in 2003.
