Situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border was rather strained on the night of Jan 22, Defense Ministry spokesman said.

According to Artsrun Hovhannisyan, the rival continued ceasefire violations, firing around 200 shots, which were ceased upon retaliation on the Armenian side. Also, an Azeri-attempted infiltration was thwarted on Jan 22 night.

On Jan 21 night, an Armenian armed forces serviceman Arman Udumyan was killed in Azeri sniper attack on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.
