Thousands of fans gathered for a Wake Up the Souls Tour 2015 concert of a world famed Armenian-American band System of a Down (SOAD) in Yerevan.

The show is a final destination of a tour dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.

The band brought down the house in the Republic Square where thousand of raving fans were singling along in a pouring rain.

"In Armenia, our status is unparalleled," frontman Serj Tankian said in Moscow. “People in Armenia are aware of our Genocide campaign. So we’re recognized by an army of fans not only for our music but also for our political work,” Tankian said.

"Part of it is bringing attention to the fact that genocides are still happening, whether you use the word 'genocide,' 'holocaust' or 'humanitarian catastrophe,'" Tankian told Rolling Stone. "None of that is changing. We want to be part of that change. We want the recognition of the first genocide of the 20th century to be a renewal of confidence that humanity can stop killing itself."
