The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said a serviceman identified as Eldar Fataliyev has been killed at the line of contact with the Nagorno Karabakh (Artsakh) Republic. According to Azeri media reports, Fataliyev was a sniper, who was buried on Friday, July 24.

Meanwhile, Haqqin.az says 8 soldiers were wounded at the contact line.

Spokesperson for the Armenian Defense Ministry, Artsrun Hovhannisyan, said that ceasefire violations by Azeri armed forces were registered. The Armenian troops took retaliatory measures, causing damages and losses to the opposite side.

"Azerbaijani armed forces violated ceasefire on July 24, using 60mm and 82mm mortars and various caliber weapons. The Armenian side registered no losses,” Hovhannisian said in a Facebook post.

“The Azeri propaganda has been spreading false information concerning the situation at the line of contact for the past several days. We call on everyone not to yield to provocation and follow the official information, provided by the Armenian side," he said.
