The Chairman of the Consumer Advisory Center NGO presented Friday, August 28, statistical data on prices for agricultural products in 2015 against those in 2014.
Karen Chilingaryan reported a 9% rise in prices for vegetables and 11% decrease in those for fruit, Tert.am said.
“We expected a slump in prices due to a bumper crop. Exchange fluctuations, however, resulted in a general price rise,” he said.
Chilingaryan also noted that fruits in Armenia are usually exported, which might later result in a price hike.
