VivaCell-MTS continues supporting child day care and rehabilitation center

Armenak and Ann Tadevossian’s child day care and rehabilitation center in Kosh community of Armenia's Aragatsotn province, founded with VivaCell-MTS support and fully equipped with necessary medical devices has been operating for already three years now.

In the last two years, VivaCell-MTS has supported the treatment programs for 20 children with limited mental and physical abilities from disadvantaged families.

“Can parents have more important wishes than to see their children healthy and happy?” VivaCell-MTS General Manager Ralph Yirikian said. “Helping them realize this dream will make the world a better place to live. By implementing this project, we want to stress that caring for children that have different pace of development than their peers do should not be left to their parents alone. All we have to do is help these extremely dedicated and loving parents in their daily determination to reach progress in their children’s development.”

The transfer of the children from their houses to the rehabilitation center and back is organized in vehicles adapted for children with special needs. Here children receive rehabilitation services, meals twice a day and enjoy their leisure under the care of specialists. The day care stationary works from five days a week 9:00 am till 6:00 pm.

Besides receiving rehabilitation and specialized care, the children participate in group games and enjoy their leisure in specially refurbished bedrooms. The program benefits to the development of children’s mental abilities, rehabilitation of their physical abilities, integration into the society and acquisition of self-care skills.

Armenak and Ann Tadevossian’s child day care and rehabilitation center provides services to children with limited abilities not only from Aragatsotn province but also from other cities of Armenia (in particular, from Yerevan and Gyumri) who have been left out of secondary school or preschool education programs because of healthcare needs.
