The Socially Relevant Film Festival in New York will host the screening of the first Arabic film dedicated to the Armenian Genocide, member of Armenian National Committee of Europe Armen Mazlumyan told Hayern Aysor.
Produced by director Muhammad Hanafi and journalist Myriam Zaki, “Who Killed the Armenians?” focuses on the Genocide perpetrated by the Turks 100 years ago, also presenting archival photos and materials, most of which were released for the first time to confirm the atrocities of 1915.
The movie features the survivors’ eyewitness accounts, proving that the Genocide was planned long before it was committed.
The film, first screened on November 8 in Cairo, was shot in Armenia, Egypt and Lebanon.
