Iranian capital honors memory of Armenian Genocide victims

Iranian capital honored the memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide, Araks weekly reports.

On the evening of April 23, Tehran’s church of St. Sargis hosted a liturgy followed by a wreath laying ceremony, with ambassadors, high-ranking officials and a number of local Armenians attending to commemorate the 1,5 million innocent victims of the atrocity.

Attending the event were Armenian ambassador Artashes Tumanyan, Russian ambassador Levon Jakharyan, the head of the diocese, the clergy, as well as a number of media representatives.
