Armen Roustamyan: I think, by 2012 Armenia will refuse from majority system
In the result of parliamentary elections a government should be formed, which will be able to secure achievements of past 15 years and continue the forward movement towards democracy and stability, ARF Dashnaktsutyun representative and Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Armen Roustamyan stated during a press conference in Yerevan. He said, Dashnaktsutyun is not going to win electoral lists. ARFD unlike other parties needs a clear electorate familiar with "Dashnaktsutyun's" ideology and ready to share it," he stressed.

Roustamyan also noticed that in conditions of Armenia the majority system carries a vicious character, since only under these circumstances electoral frauds are possible during elections. "And just because of this ARFD is going to rapidly decrease the number of majority-candidates during the coming parliamentary elections. I think, already by 2012 parliamentary elections Armenia will fully refuse from majority system, since candidates spend astronomical sum of money," Roustamyan told. The representative of ARF Dashnaktsutyun also said the party will publish its proportional list of candidates till March 3.
