NATO is not going to solve the domestic and international problems of the South Caucasian region. NATO secretary general George Robertson told "Mediamax" agency about it. In his words, the interested countries should address to it themselves. But if it is in NATO's capacity, the organization is ready to assist Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia appearing as an advisor in matters of having a contemporary security policy, as well as that directed at forming democratic institutions, the secretary general emphasized. "The NATO presence in the South Caucasus has already made itself felt in many respects: all the three states of the region participate in the Council of Euro-Atlantic Partnership and "Partnership for Peace" program. At the same time it has already been 10 years since we cooperate in various fields," - he said and reminded that lately - just in October - the members and partners of NATO had a meeting in Yerevan to discuss problems of terrorism.
