Sargsyan, Putin may hold private talks May 31

Armenian and Russian Presidents – Serzh Sargsyan and Vladimir Putin – may hold private talks on the sidelines of a Kazakhstan-hosted summit of leaders of the Eurasian Economic Union member states, slated for May 31, Aravot reports.

The summit will address key guidelines of the EEU macroeconomic policy for 2016-2017, a Russian Foreign Ministry top official told reporters Friday, May 20.

Addressing journalists in Moscow, Aleksey Pavlovsky hailed Russian-Armenian cooperation, citing the $1,2 billion trade turnover between the two countries in 2015, as well as Russia's $4 billion-worth investments and the 1300 joint ventures in Armenia.
