The painting “An Ottoman Coffee-House in the Moonlight” by Ivan Aivazovsky was sold for £194.500 (about $281.000) at Christie’s.

The canvas was projected to bring some £200.000-300.000.

Two other paintings – “Shipwreck” and “View of the Saladin Citadel from the banks of the Nile” – brought £158.500 (about $228.000) and £110.500 (about $160.000), respectively, RIA reports.
