Turkey meeting on Karabakh settlement delayed

Meetings on the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement set to be held in Turkey with the participation of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-chairs have been postponed, RIA Novosti cited the U.S. Co-chair as saying.

Earlier, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu told a press-conference in Baku that the OSCE Minsk Group Co-chairs were to arrive in Ankara July 18, to brief the Turkish side on the negotiation process on the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement. Ankara would, in turn, present its own stance on the issue.

"At present, we are considering a date for another meeting," James Warlick said.

On Friday, July 15 a faction of the military attempted a coup, but that later crumbled as Turks responded to a call from President Tayyip Erdogan and took to the streets in defiance of the coup.
