Exit polls via SMS to be conducted in Armenia
Ordinary exit polls will not be conducted during the parliamentary election. Initially, Alliance NGO planned to organize exit polls. However, later the administration decided to focus on "quick response" to violation alerts. The second NGO expected to conduct exit polls was the Center of Efficient Policy and Political Studies. But it as well abandoned the idea due to lack of human resources. The number of volunteers was too small.
Thus, it was decided to hold exit polls via SMS and announce the results at 8.30 p.m. local time. The number of subscribers of Armenia's two cellular operators - ArmenTel and VivaCell - makes about 1 million while the number of voters reaches 2 317 810 people.
Furthermore, some of the subscribers have several numbers and plenty of subscribers are under age, IA Regnum reports.
