HayPost dedicates new stamp to first Armenian female writer, public figure

On October 14, HayPost CJSC put into circulation a stamp dedicated to the first Armenian female writer, poet, publicist, public figure and novelist Srbuhi Tyusab's 175th anniversary. She fought against female subordination, calling for equal education and labor rights.

The stamp has been printed in Cartor Printing House, France, with a face value of AMD 230. Designed by David Dovlatyan, the stamp depicts Tyusab on the background of an extract from her poem.

The official cancellation ceremony of the stamp took place at the Ministery of Diaspora in the framework of Our Greats program with the start of the 8th all-Armenian summit of journalists. The cancellation was carried out by Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan, Deputy Minister of Transport and Communication Gagik Tadevosyan and Managing Director of HayPost Trust Management B.V. Juan Pablo Gechidjian.
