Over 800 refugees from Azerbaijan and former USSR other regions became citizens of the Republic of Armenia 2002 September. As "Arminfo" agency was reported by the UN representative assistant to Armenia for refugee issues Emil Sahakian, during 2002 nine months, 7217 refugees became citizens of the Republic of Armenia.
